  • Any cancellations made within 24 hours or less of your delivery will result in a 50% charge

Welcome to Self Portrait, Chef Tim and Bronwyn Wiechmann’s sequel to their long-standing, fine-dining classic: T.W.Food. The restaurant is a contemporary French Bistro embodying luxurious simplicity in an intimate dining room, just a few steps from Harvard Square. The new neighborhood bistro emphasizes creativity around the cornerstones of French cookery, colored with influences from Chef Tim’s background of working in Paris and travelling the world. It combines the tastes of small rustic villages with the sensibilities of a fine-dining kitchen. An updated beverage program showcases an all-French wine list and an exciting new cocktail menu. It’s a Self-Portrait of a Chef and his food, a Self-Portrait of Tim and Bronwyn’s vision of a restaurant as a modern French bistro.

About Chef Tim

Born to German parents in the coastal town of Marblehead, MA, Tim Wiechmann spent much of his youth living and traveling throughout Germany, Switzerland, and France, as well as greater Europe and Asia. He holds a culinary degree in Cuisine Supérieure from L’Académie Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, and trained in Paris with some of France’s top chefs at world-renowned restaurants like L’Arpege, Taillevent, and L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon.

In 2007, Chef Wiechmann and his wife Bronwyn opened T.W. Food. The restaurant instantly became a neighborhood fine-dining institution and received numerous accolades, including Boston Magazine’s “50 Best Restaurants,” a 27/28 rating by Zagat for food and service, and recipes published in Wine Spectator, The New York Times. T.W. Food earned five Best of Boston awards, including “Best Outstanding Chef” in 2015. Chef Wiechmann also created the Über-German and Eastern European restaurant: BRONWYN. BRONWYN was listed on Eater National as “#1 most-anticipated restaurant of 2013” and John Mariani named it as one of the “Best New Restaurants in America” for Esquire magazine. Chef Tim’s Schnitzel “Beat Bobby Flay” on Season 2 on Food Network.
